Indifference

There's a reason why Kei takes this matter so seriously, but that's for another story. Unfortunately, Taku isn't very interested in hearing about personal stuff like that - except if it has some relevance for the current problem.

Arms crossed, Taku takes a guess at what Kei might want. "The point is..."

Taku: "...that you're afraid to go into that room and want me to go fetch Serika for you, right?"
Kei: "No! I just don't want to go there alone, so..."

He stands up and finally musters the courage to ask.

Kei: "Would you accompany me?"
Taku: "Why not simply tell me where it is and wait here?"
Kei: "Because it's my responsibility. I can't just run away."

Meanwhile, Taku went over to the door, ready to leave.

Taku: "Fine. Then let's go."
