Right when Kei says that, a flash of lightning strikes, illuminating both boys in an ominous, overly dramatic way. Taku isn't very impressed.

Taku: "That lightning strike had awfully good timing, don't you think?"
Kei: "T-That's not the point!"
Taku: "The 'point' is..."
