Things are off to a great start for Kei, aren't they? Also, that upper left panel gave me a real headache, because angles and perspective in combination with a much-dreaded enemy of mine: The common staircase.

The boys walk up the stairs to the next floor.

Taku: "There's probably a perfectly non-creepy explanation, so there's no need to get scared."

Suddenly, Kei spots something in the distance.

Kei: "Hmm? Something lies on the floor over there."

He goes over to investigate, but there's something off about the item...

Kei: "A handkerchief. W-Wait... Is that blood...?"

Suddenly, a shadow appears in the dark corridor right in front of him and a weakly voice can be heard.

???: "Ah, you found it..."
